• Applies the norm estimates derived for fractional integral operators to obtain local and global first-order Poincar�–Sobolev inequalities, including endpoint cases
• Proves the existence of a tangent plane to the graph of a Lipschitz function of several variables
• Includes many new exercises not present in the first edition

About the Author

Richard L. Wheeden is Distinguished Professor of Mathematics at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA. His primary research interests lie in the fields of classical harmonic analysis and partial differential equations, and he is the author or coauthor of more than 100 research articles. After earning his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, Illinois, USA (1965), he held an instructorship there (1965–1966) and a National Science Foundation (NSF) Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, New Jersey, USA (1966–1967).

Antoni Zygmund was Professor of Mathematics at the University of Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was earlier a professor at Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, Massachusetts, USA, and the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. His years at the University of Chicago began in 1947, and in 1964, he was appointed Gustavus F. and Ann M. Swift Distinguished Service Professor there. He published extensively in many branches of analysis, including Fourier series, singular integrals, and differential equations. He is the author of the classical treatise Trigonometric Series and a coauthor (with S. Saks) of Analytic Functions. He was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, District of Columbia, USA (1961), as well as to a number of foreign academies.

Great Tool!!!

Such an awesome tool to have! We bought this one because our other one was always getting lost. One of the kids, myself, or my husband are always using it and then putting it somewhere... So we bought a backup! This book has a lot of biblical understanding to the "random" things in your dreams. We have been blessed to have been able to attend a conference with Ira Milligan and he is definitely a man of God! He has done extinctive work figuring out the meaning behind the dreams we dream and our family is very grateful he has! Knowing the general idea of what "that weird" dream means has given us the ability to know how to pray and how to better discern what God is telling us through our dreams!

Great for beginners and to keep on kindle/iphone

This book is great to have on hand at all times! I have it on my kindle/iphone and it comes in handy so much! It is a basic outline of dream interpretation. My favorite part about this book is the diligence in description of each thing. I love that each thing has a verse to go with it and I also like that if you can't find the exact thing you are looking for, they usually give you a reference to look to. I have maybe once or twice not found something i was looking for in this book. Aside from those two obscure times everything has been in this book. It is a great guide for beginners and very biblical in the interpretations, which is very important to me. I would highly recommend this book. I use it at least once a month.

Two fairly good chapters, but the lengthy key word dictionary is lacking

The front material is rather interesting, but a little sketchy. Just one example of the critical "night visions" is insufficient to persuade me. But these types of dreams are real and more important with a long historical background. There are plenty of scripture references, but many seem to be a "stretch" and the context is not always clear (scripture vs. dream).

I'm most disappointed with the latter, long part of the book, which is essentially a word or term reference dictionary. Milligan has compiled an alphabetical list of words (or terms) that might occur in a dream and his understanding of what the interpretation of the words are. Granted there are plenty of scripture references, each using the word or term. Often the references have no relation to any dreams in the Bible and can be very obvious taken alone.

If you look for "flying" you'll only find a couple references to "fly" as in insects (examples given). People in my acquaintance and I have had frequent dreams involving actually flying. It can be a common dream, often progressive. Yet the text is no help. There is no reference for "conflict" or "struggle" both common elements of dreams. "Water" too is of little help.

Granted, some of the words and terms are explained and make a lot of sense.

Much of the key word dictionary is not personally helpful. If you have dreams of "six green crawfish talking on the telephone in the water", you can try to track the words down (no real themes in the book) and come up with some wild interpretation.

This book is almost like a parlor game, an archaic term, but relevant. I would look for someone to really study this topic and be a little more selective of dream elements based on the cited experience of people. We need some background. I'm sure Milligan is respected and doing some good work, but he's taken on a lot. There is mystery in our world and often only God will reveal it to you personally.

The last couple of books by K.E. Osborn haven't left me hanging, so I had forgotten her diabolically evil genius at doing so. But it's safe to say that the queen of mean cliff hangers is back stronger than ever. She was one of the very first authors on the list trying to kill me, but her writing is amazing, that I simply cannot give up reading her books as soon as they come out. In case no one has guessed yet, I LOVED LOVED LOVED Heart of Steel.

Steel is a biker in the Savages MC. A Marauder Japanese Steel Knife is his weapon of choice, and it brings out fear in enemies. He's never had any desire to have a relationship with anyone, but things changed suddenly when he rescues a child in the road from getting run over. Willow is a kindergarten teacher, who shakes Steel's whole world up. She isn't meant for his world, but he can't stay away from her, and it doesn't help that she feels the strong connection they have, so she won't walk away either. Will Willow be able to accept Steel for who he is, or will she walk away, missing her chance at something worth the risk?!

WOW WOW WOW! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this author's rockers, but she took it to a new level with bikers. The character development is spot on perfect, with secondaries that I would love to see have their own stories. An action packed, fast paced, and very well written story line flows effortlessly. K.E. Osborn's brilliant writing style has, once again, held me hostage cover to cover, while keeping my heart racing. Heart of Steel showcases her extremely talented writing style on new levels. Well placed humor had me rolling in laughter, and the suspense is very intense. The chemistry flew out of my kindle, leading to SCORCHIN' HOT sexy scene goodness that's capable of causing severe hot flashes. The cliff hanger ending had me calling the author bad names, as she's trying to kill me. And to be honest, the whole series can't come quickly enough to feed my addiction, as this author will always be my kindle crack. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Not your typical MC.

This book starts out with a great little blurb by Steel, introducing himself to us and Willow introducing herself to us. I love the fact that KE Osbourne has given us a little note about the writing style of the book as well as a dictionary to help us understand some of the slang we will be seeing in the book in case we're not familiar with the terminology. Thank you KE Osbourne for that! This book was your typical rough and tumble, fighting and protecting book, with one of the bad boys of the MC falling in love with an outsider. HOWEVER, the level of things in this book, I do not remember having seen them like this before. The losses, the wars, the love, the pain and suffering that comes with love and loss and finding things again. Desires, hope, etc. are all in this book, and the pure bad@$$ bad boys are also there. This book leaves you on one heck of a cliff hanger. One that I just did NOT see coming. Read the book, enjoy it, and wait for book two to see what happens with Willow and Steel after they have to take off. Wait until you see why they do. Wow.

Excellent !!!

One of my go to authors of 2015 has kicked this new year of with bang and taken a foray into one of my favourite genres…an MC novel!
I was super excited to get my teeth into this as if the previous works have been anything to go by this was a hands down winner…and I was not disappointed, Ms Osborn I doff my hat to you, you hit the ground running with this and now that the motor is revving I can’t wait to see what you have in store next.
This is Willow and Steel’s story and if ever there was a case of opposite attract then it is this pair, they are as far apart on the spectrum as you could possibly imagine…or are they?
Willow was her mother’s perfect child, the obedient little girl that toe the line but she is no little girl anymore and she is ready to cut loose, to live a little and to find out for herself all about the things her mamma thought she never needed to know.
Especially what it is like to be the bad girl for once!!!
And finding just the sort of man that her mother wouldn’t want to see walking up the path is going to prove a little easier than she had imagined, especially when her nice ordered life is intersected by the world that is Steel and the Satan’s Savages MC.
Steel has lived and breathed the MC his entire life, he has learnt the ropes at eth knee of its president, his father but that doesn’t mean that he wouldn’t give his right arm to know what life minus the violence would be like. Life in the club is harsh and hard but with no other point of reference, Steel can only imagine what else he could have had.
But when he and Willow meet, the instant attraction may just answer both their questions. Because for Willow he is the man she has been searching for and for Steel, Willow is his peek into the world he was born to be denied.
Being together is a path down which they will need to tread very carefully as it is littered with both danger and deceit. They face trouble from every quarter and unfortunately it some of it is directed from the men that Steel call bothers.
The story is one that doesn’t hold back, but that is to be expected by this author, she leaves no stone unturned in her pursuit of excellence and this is just that…excellent!

Military doctrines are institutional beliefs about what works in war; given the trauma of 9/11 and the ensuing 'War on Terror', serious divergences over what the message of the 'new' military doctrine ought to be were expected around the world. However, such questions are often drowned in ferocious meta-doctrinal disagreements. What is a doctrine, after all?

This book provides a theoretical understanding of such questions. Divided into three parts, the author investigates the historical roots of military doctrine and explores its growth and expansion until the present day, and goes on to analyse the main characteristics of a military doctrine. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the book concludes that doctrine can be utilized in three key ways: as a tool of command, as a tool of change, and as a tool of education.

This book will be of much interest to students of military studies, civil-military relations, strategic studies, and war studies, as well as to students in professional military education.

About the Author

Fritz Wagner is a Research Professor in the Department of Urban Design and Planning at the University of Washington (Seattle). He directs the Northwest Center for Livable Communites and teaches part-time. Before joining UW he was at the University of New Orleans where he founded the College of Urban and Public Affairs and served as its Dean.

Roger Caves is Professor of City Planning, School of Public Affairs, San Diego State University. He received his PhD in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware in 1982. He is co-author of Planning in the USA, 2nd and 3rd editions (Routledge, 2003, 2008), editor of the Encyclopedia of the City (Routledge, 2005), editor of Exploring Urban America, and author of Land Use Planning: The Ballot Box Revolution. His research areas include urban planning, direct democracy, housing, information technologies and community development, and planning for sustainable development.

Love all these books! I have the coloring Book of Shadows, the planner , and now this. Artwork is amazing, paper quality is fantastic, I color with a lot of different pencils/markers, etc. And this composition like notebook is my go to everyday
